Hi there I’m wondering if anyone can help.
I was using my pc as normal today watching a friend play on my second monitor when I got some glitchy artifacting and couldn’t move my mouse ( I could still hear audio though ) so I reset my pc and now I have zero display, I’ve checked and my monitors seem to be working fine so I’m confused, I’ve tried different cables, used different slots on my gpu but alas no solution, anyone know how to solve it? The gpu I have is like 6 months old so I’m not sure if it’s that, I’m just at my wits end trying to solve it, thank you all

GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 Super windforce OC
RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE RGB PRO SL 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C18
PSU: NZXT C750 - NP-C750M-UK - 750 Watt PSU - 80+ Gold Certified
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX Motherboard ATX
Boot drive ( SSD ): Samsung SSD 980 1TB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X 8-Core Processor
Case: Fractal Meshify C

We have a 1050 in the family pc so I’ll try that and see. My concern is last year I actually had a 6800xt that was faulty so I got a refund on it, purchased this 4070 super as a replacement and now I’m with issues again so part of me is concerned that I maybe have a power supply issue or something that’s breaking these Gpus down

So hi again, booted it up using an old 1050ti the family has and it booted up with zero issues, I assume this means it’s my gpu? If so I thankfully have warranty so I can get a replacement but just want to make sure. switched back to my gpu to check it wasn’t a reseating issue and no display, so gpu?

I assume that the 1050ti is the type that doesn't take a PSU connector?

I also cannot imagine the family rig having a power supply that would run the current card...

May be worthwhile to pick up at least one of those cheapo power supply testers unless either you are good with a meter, or have access to a tech head. It seems odd to me that two cards have stopped working but also don't know the use case, how reliable your power (utility) is, temps, humidity...anywho I think I would at least spend $10 on one of those cheapo power supply testers. They are NOT the end all be all of loaded and proper testing but if it says something is off then it is more to go on.

Oh I mis explained, we have two pcs, my person and the family one, mines is the one with the listed specs and the 4070super, the family one is an old one that contained at 1050, no cable for it no. I took it from the family, placed it into my personal pc and it worked fine, switched it back to my gpu and no display.

It could be the PSU. I'm guessing there is a difference in the power needed by the two GPUs.

Yeah drastically, I think I’ll order the tester and see what comes of it, regardless of it being the gpu or psu perhaps it’s worth upgrading the psu to something newer anyway

I do, it’s insured through to April 2026, so if it ends up being that I’m secured, I think I might use that warranty to send it in to get repaired or replaced jf needed alongside sorting out a new power supply while my gpu is being checked out

Last thing I’ll add is that the more I think, the more I feel it could be power related, as stated this is my second gpu in a year as I bought a 6800xt that went faulty, now this ( both after about 8 months oddly ) I’ve also had ongoing usb issues for a year with them constantly disconnecting and such, so I’d been considering a psu change for a while, I think I might just pick up the RM850x as it has a sale where I’m located currently

Corsair's RMx line have been very good to me. As above, I cannot speak to the quality of the unit you have but will say that I have a lot of faith in the Corsair models pretty much across any price point. I have not personally have one of their power supplies fail me in any use case.

Great to hear, thanks for letting me know, I’ve had a few Corsair branded items before and never had an issue so felt like going for a psu with them was a good idea, thanks for reassuring that, will update this thread in the next few weeks once the psu is here and the card is repaired/replaced, thanks again all!

I think I may be potentially cursed, I tried the 1050 in my pc like I said, and it displayed, I put it back into the family pc this morning and now the family pc won’t display either, so now I have two pcs not displaying ( tried on different monitors/cables ) pc issues are a headache lmao
