Hello everyone!

I have a super annoying issue with my PC, it randomly creates this super weird snap sound when I'm playing games, when I'm exiting a game, when my PC is off and even when I packaged my PC to send it to a shop to get a look at it. Well 4 days went by and even the shop couldn't find the source of the sound. But as a kind gesture and since all my parts were under warranty they replaced my PSU hoping that it was the culprit of the sound. Well now as I'm typing this, the sound still happens. Not as often as it used to but still occurs.

I have linked a audio file with the sound so I hope that one of you out there can at least try to pinpoint me to the direction of what might cause the sound. I paid almost 100$ in total for everything regarding the fixing of the PC. So I am getting quite desparate to solve this!

Audio file

My PC Specs:
Corsair 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 6400MHz CL32,
MSI Pro Z790-A WIFI motherboard
Noctua NH-D15
Kingston M.2 NVMe Gen 4 2TB
Corsair RM850e ATX 3.0 850W
Zalman Z10 Plus Case
Intel Core i7 13700K
Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 12GB

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You might want to roll up a sheet of A4 paper and hold one end of the cylinder to your ear while the other end is used to probe for the source of the sound. Once you've located the source of the sound, take a video of the area with audio.

Thinking a little, it does seem like something hitting the tempered glass side panel.

Thats a mechanical noise. Either a fan kicking up, water bubbles in a liquid cooler or a hard disk. Scratch the HD and liquid cooler. Disable some of the case fans to see if it fixes, then move to observing the CPU and GPU fans (dont disable obviously). Since a new PSU didnt fix, no need to check that.

it sounds like a fan wire is hitting the glass take of the side panel see if the sound persists.

also check for any wires near the gpu arent hitting fan blades.

take 2 videos one with side panel on and one with it off someone myself or someone on forum may be able to shed some light on it/
