Hello all! I'm really frustrated recently as my laptop is dying and would want a decent pc that runs well on games such as witcher 3, dishonored, thief etc.. I'm very new to this kind of stuff. I can squish in about $100 more if needed. Im not really looking to run games in 1080p 60fps.
P.S. Canadian here so it sucks to buy pc since CAD is in all time low and would highly prefer to buy from newegg and amazon
Thanks!

Can you upgrade your CPU? No. Your next upgrades will be just overclocked versions of the 8320 and give you almost no performance gains. Yes, you can run games pretty well. Witcher 3 will fair pretty well with the 8320 actually. This computer should last a few years, yes. Maybe like 2 years before a GPU/CPU upgrade. Rather than the 960, I recommend the R9 380. It performs better than the 960 and for the same price. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-r9380p2255

Everything still looks good to me :) A higher quality PSU would be good but it's $15 more and most people don't listen to when I tell them they need a higher quality PSU. So yeah, just a heads up, I recommend one of these units...
I'm Canadian as well and I would seriously avoid Vuugo, Canada Computers, and ShopRBC.

You want to buy from:

NCIX
DirectCanada
NewEgg
Memory Express (They rarely have things in stock though)

If somewhere else has a better price, NCIX will match that price.

With that budget you won't be able to play games like Witcher 3 @ 60 FPS on ultra. It just won't happen.

Here are your options:

I highly recommend getting the one with the 750 Ti and the i5. That way you can just upgrade the GPU when needed. That CPU will last you a pretty long time. Not so much with the GPU though.

Thanks for the advice but i see most of them have compatibility issues and im not willing to work with more time in it. I've come up with my own as well http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/cg2HFT. Can you compare this to yours? Im also planning on just keep upgrading the pc so i assume that i would be better to pick a good cpu
Edit: does this work too http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/cg2HFT

There were no compatibility issues with the builds I posted.

If you want an upgrade path, going with any AMD CPU is a horrible idea. The 8320 is a pretty slow dog and there is absolutely no upgrade path. Meaning your CPU can never be changed to something better.

The PSU you chose is mediocre at best. In other words quality isn't exactly its strong point.

You can't compare the clock speed between Intel CPU's and AMD CPU's. Like a 1.8GHz dual core Intel CPU, might be just as fast as a 3.5GHz Dual core AMD CPU. And more cores does not mean better by any means at all. Most games can only use 2-4 cores anyways. Witcher 3 does pretty well with the 8320 because it can use its cores but nothing ground breaking compared to other CPU's.

Then for the motherboard you went with, it is literally riddled with problems. The NewEgg reviews should speak for themselves

Hey I just want to ask if in the future i can also upgrade the cpu . I already ordered the 8320 in newegg. Can i still run games in good quality? As for the motherboard, i got it covered. And do you think that my pc will last for some time? I considered overclocking so i chose this cpu. As for its performance, does my build outshine the consoles cause as of right now, i just want to at least have better performance than PS4 or Xbox1. Anyways, thanks for all the help. Cheers.
P.S. the cpu is already shipped so there's no coming back :/
Edit: I am aware that i would need to change my mobo too.

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-110b20750vr

Your best bang for your buck is the most expensive one ironically. You will be able to overclock really well with that and it will allow you to switch out the GPU for any current GPU on the market. (No single GPU requires more than a 750W PSU.)

Another thing is, you need a good CPU cooler if you want to overclock. The Cooler Master 212 EVO is a popular option but don't expect record breaking overclocks off of it

Thank you for all the help!:) Im fully aware that i need to upgrade some stuff on it in the future. I'll consider on getting a better psu if i can squeeze in more funds from my broke wallet. As for overclocking, i still need to save to get a cpu cooler so that's out of the picture for 2-3 months. One more thing, do i actually need a thermal paste or its just a recommended to use one? Can you also recommend a good mechanical keyboard to me? (budget is $100)
P.s. sorry if some sentences are grammatically wrong.

Your English is actually pretty wrong so don't worry about it :p

When you get your CPU, it comes with a cooler with pre-applied thermal compound. When you get your cooler, it will come with thermal compound. You only need to buy thermal compound when you need to remove the cooler. Never reuse thermal compound.

For the mechanical keyboard, would you like it to make a "click" sound or would you like it to be silent?

This is the mechanical keyboard I use and it is seriously awesome: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-keyboard-sgk4011gkcl2us

But that one is a little bit over your budget. This one is also a really good one: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-keyboard-sgk4020gkcl1us

Both of those are backlit. Meaning they have lights on all of the keys.

Thanks! My friends says im weird but i really like the loud clicks on keyboard. I prefer keyboards that offers clear indication that an input is conveyed. Sorry again for english :) really tired to make proper sentences
