First time posting but I've read a few threads here and it seems a lot of people are just very knowledgeable and happy to help so thanks a lot. With that said I already have the monitor and graphics card: nvidia geforce gtx 660ti. I also have Corsair Vengeance 8gb of ram I'm just going to buy the parts and have best buy put it together at a discounted price since my wife works there. I know very little about pc's but I love gaming on them. I'm going to get windows and yea silent computers seem nice.

-SSD for operating system and programs.

i7 has hyper-threading which is useless for gaming, but helps with encoding and rendering.

Around what fps do you think? Also I already have the ram so if you could move that money to upgrade one of the other parts you mentioned would you?

Pick a case. I picked a PSU that will allow you to add more, like another graphics card etc. You could go windows 7 pro, add a HDD if you need more space. I put two 840 pros on there run them in raid 0 it will be faster than one 512 samsung 840 pro. You could get an i7 too, I know most people say it is a waste but I see it as much more future proof. Eventually quadcores and up will be cheaper and more used, so a quad core with hyperthreading will stay relevant longer...

Dude don't get windows eight I tried it out for three months and I liked it, a lot! But windows 7 is smoother, and all around better, windows eight is made to be used by touchscreen tablets. I would not recommend windows 8 to someone who is more of a power user.

This build will do well @ 1080P. With dual 840 pros in raid 0, it will be lightning fast. I would recommend if you want to an i7. Minus the ram at 60 bucks its only a 30 dollar upgrade and then get windows 7 pro. You will probably have to upgrade your gpu in two to three years to play all of the newest games at ultra or high. But this build is good.

Everything is fine, save your money for a future GPU upgrade. GPU is only thing that could be more powerful, and you can easily upgrade that yourself in future.

You can handle ant game at 1080p well as long as Anti-Aliasing isn't cranked up high.

I bought everything that you suggested with the exception of the psu I opted for one with higher watts like you suggested. Same brand just higher watt. Thanks a ton bud.
