I have had this setup for almost a year now and one day the system shut off and then kept trying to boot back up by itself with no success. The system would only boot for a split second before turning off again ( I could tell from the RGB case fan ). I assumed that it was the power supply that died so I purchased a new one and just finished installing it only to have the exact same problem. I’ve tried swapping around the RAM, taking out my GPU, and using the motherboard to power on the system. My specs are...

MSI Z97A Gaming MOBO
GTX 1070ti
i7-4790k
16gb Corsair vengeance DDR3 (4gb x 4)
Rosewill 800W PSU (old PSU)
Thermaltake Smart M 850W (new PSU)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

hey man did you checked your cpu Fan , there it must be connected to SYS-FAN 1
sometimes pc only boots for seconds until it detect that there is no fan connected so it immediately shut down to prevent damage

i would recommend cleaning the pc parts with contact cleaner , even if the pc is clean , sometimes it saves the day

another thing have you ever overclocked your GPU/CPU ?
when you turn on the pc does the motherboard brand shows up does it flash ?
