Question Pc not booting after cpu upgrade

I have a MSI Gaming Intel Skylake H110 LGA 1151 DDR4 USB 3.1 Micro ATX Motherboard (H110M Gaming) motherboard
And I am currently using a Intel Pentium G Series 3.50 GHz Dual-Core LGA 1151 Processor (BX80677G4560) CPU
Recently I tried updating to the Intel Core i5-9400F Coffee Lake 6-Core 2.9 GHz (4.1 GHz Turbo) LGA 1151 (300 Series) 65W BX80684I59400F Desktop Processor Without Graphics cpu. After doing this the lights on my pc turn on I hear a switch, then my pc just turns back off. My pc works like normal when I switch CPUs back. So far all I have done is try to update my bios. Is there a compatibility issue with my new processor and motherboard or is it something else, any help is appreciated.

The H110 chipset motherboards are not compatible with 8th or 9th-gen Intel CPUs. You are limited to 6th-gen and 7th-gen (with BIOS udpate). I'd recommend buying a new motherboard, because 8th and 9th-gen is much better considering the core-count increase.
