[SOLVED] PC not booting after CPU upgrade

I recently upgraded my CPU to the i9 9900k, my Mobo is the MSI Z370-A Pro. From what I've read it should support up to i9 9th gen. My previous CPU was an i5 9th gen and that worked fine.

When I turn on my computer it freezes on the boot screen. I can get into the BIOS/UEFI and the Boot menu but I can't actually boot into the OS.

Any ideas why this might be or what I can do to fix it? This is the first time i've ever upgraded a cpu.

Thanks for the reply! I did not upgrade to the latest version but from the MSI site the installed version is the version that brought intel 9th generation support.

Just download the lasted versions of the bios and see if it boots up

Did you load the optimized defaults in bios? Your motherboard needs to retrain your components whenever you do a hardware change.
