I just upgraded my processor from i3 4130 to i5 4690, my bios is already updated, i have a h81m plus mother board, please help thanks
Hello thanks for the reply, my bios is the 2205 update and my processor is a non k, i checked my bios update by going to the msinfo32Return the I3-4130 to the socket and see if your system boots up once more. If so, check to verify the BIOS has actually updated to version 0804 (or later). Also, please confirm you have the I5-4690 (non-K). If you have the I5-4690K, you will need BIOS version 2001.

Then the CPU might be defective if you replaced the i3 and its working. The pc itself turns on but it it seems like its not sending anythig to the keyboard, mouse and monitor
i hope notThen the CPU might be defective if you replaced the i3 and its working.
There is a high chance of it being defective if you did not test it before buying it used.i hope not
Dont i need to download a chipset or something?Aside from the BIOS update, there is nothing you need to install to use the Core I5-4690.
ASUS H81M Plus Driver Download Page
This is driver download page for your motherboard (same place you got the BIOS update from), but these are motherboard specific; not CPU specific.

Idk but it says it on the download page thing that is only supposrts windows 7You should have done that already. The "Chipset" drivers refer to the motherboard's H81 chipset, not the processor.

oh, i was looking at this one https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/75016/Intel-H81-ChipsetLooks like it supports Windows 10 to me.

Im currently trying to download the latest chipset and its not letting me, it keeps on saying “Does not support this operating system:wnt_10.0P_64You would use that if ASUS didn't provide them. It's an ASUS motherboard so ASUS takes the Intel driver and tweaks them for their specific motherboard.
