Earlier today I got up from my pc to go take care of a few things and when I came back, it appeared that my pc had go into hibernation. When I moved the mouse to wake it up, the screen refused to turn back on, but I old still click on stuff evident by being able to unpause my YouTube video.
After restarting my pc to see if it could fix the issue, I got a message saying that Windows was running a scan and repairing my disc in order to get things running again. After waiting a little while, I got a few updates and my PC restarted again. This time my PC got past loading the BIOS and then loaded to a black screen with a flashing underscore.
I've already tried unplugging all my peripherals, unplugging my other drive, and trying to repair Windows. The only issue with the last option is that since I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 through an update, I only have the Windows 7 disk. I tried to just do a clean install on to my main ssd with Windows 7, but when I try to format the drive it refuses and it has a message that says, "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. The selected disk has an MBR partition table. On EFI systems, Windows can only be installed to GPT disks."
Is my ssd just trashed or is there another issue at play here?
