Hello, I got a new cpu/motherboard/ram and my uncle builds PC's for me and when he put everything together the PC wouldn't boot up and it started tripping the electric switch off, everything worked fine before till these new parts were put in, I'll put a list below of the new/old items in the PC right now in case they help -

New

MSI Z170A Gaming M7 Intel Z170 (Socket 1151) DDR4 ATX Motherboard

Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz (Skylake) Socket LGA1151 Processor - Retail

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 PC4-19200C14 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit - Black

Old (but worked with the older parts)

MSI 980Ti Gaming

antec 1200w truepower quattro PSU

Samsung 512GB 850 Pro SSD

Samsung 256GB 850 Pro SSD

2TB HDD (Can't remember the make)

Windows 10 Home

Solution
What do you mean about power on , does it display bios splash?

If it does , you applied the new parts after you installed windows 10 in your HDD?
It is possible that your windows 10 cannot find your previous hardware and freeze
