So when I use 1 stick of 4 gb ram in ANY slot, the computer boots. When I put in 2 (Of the EXACT SAME ram that came from the same packet meant for dual channel) it sometimes didn't boot or did boot but when it did, the system didn't recognize it and it was only using 4 gbs when I checked on my computer. Can someone tell me what might be wrong? This is my computer build
CPU - Intel Core i5 4690k
Motherboard - ASUS z9-AR
Graphics Card - ASUS Geforce Gtx 750 Ti
Please help, I really need 8 gbs.

Can try loosening the CPU cooler a bit and snug back down, not overly tight, if it's unbalanced it can affect the CPU and it's MC (memory controller...also ensure all sticks are firmly seated, might check for bent/broken pins (CPU/socket).....could also try increasing DRAM and/or MC voltage (maybe + 0.05 or so)

Pins are intact. Cooler is not overly tight. Sticks are all firm. Only thing left is to increase DRAM/MC voltage. Ill try that later today. 2 questions, how do you increase the voltage and what is MC?

Ok, Ill try that. Would i change the voltage for the MC and DRAM? Or just one or the other?

Ok, if this doesnt work, Im gonna buy another set of dual channel 8 gb ram. If that works, Im gonna return the set I currently have
