PC not detecting SSD?

When I go to "My Computer" only the Hard Drive is there, how can I activate my SSD memory?

If it is a new SSD you will need to open disk management and initialize the SSD before formatting.

What are the exact system specs of your computer and how you do plan to use the SSD from now on? Just as @RealBeast mentioned, if it's properly connected and mounted in your system, you should be able to see it in Disk Management in Windows. From there on, you can probably find these tutorials useful:
