So I changed heatsink but while removing the old heatsink the cpu was stuck to the bottom and to remove it i bent some pins on the cpu, i thought i straightend them but was not sure if it went back in the socket correctly since it looks a little loose. Anyway after booting up my pc nothing would display on the monitor nor would my keyboard lights be on, however the case lights were on and everything inside looked to be working such as fans\lights Is that 100% the cpu not being in correctly? Or could it be something not plugged in correctly since to change heatsink i had to remove the motherboard to reach the back and theirs a good chance that i have incorrectly plugged everything back to the board

Solution
It could be either....but I would be more concerned about the CPU.

I would probably pull that out first and reinspect it.

If you would like, post a pic and we can give you opinions.

If the cpu looks good....I'd reinstall and then I'd go through those other connections one at a time slowly.
