pc not displaying to monitor

Turned on my pc this morning and the monitor was black it was working fine last night I tried the moniter on my ps4 and it worked tried pc on my tv still nothing I have the pc hooked up throw dvi I tried hdmi still nothing pc boots up fine just can't find out why no display any help would be nice thanks guys

Is the graphics card okay.. I mean do you have a spare monitor to check??

monitor totally black? or do you see post screen--ie white writing-- then its black?
