PC Not displaying

I have a custom built PC without a video card but that shouldn't matter.
The hard drive is brand new with no OS. Everything is connected and I just get no signal. I am getting no errors from the motherboard. It turns on and the fans run and everything just no display

so i take it you have onboard graphics?why not boot into the bios and install the operating system first and then see if your monitor will display.

How do I do this

start your computer and repeatedly tap the delete,f1,or whatever key your computer uses to boot to the bios.once in the bios select your dvd as the primary boot device,insert your windows dvd and restart the computer.this should take you to the install screen where you select custom install.the rest is pretty straightforward.
