PC not displaying!!!

i Just built a pc, Everything boots up but nothing appears on the monitor. I am using HDMI cable to connect the PC to my monitor.
My PC specs: Intel i5 6500
Gtx 960 g1
Gskill rip jaws v series 8 GB(2×4)
Seagate 2tb.
ADITIONAL INFO: I tried removing the rams and reinserting but didnt work..and my PC only has HDMI and DVA ports and monitor has HDMI and VGA ports, so I can't use other cables other than HDMI. Plz help!! Anyone
