PC not getting power

Hi!

I set up my build today outside of the case and it posted just fine. However, now that it's all in the case, I'm not receiving any power. I turned the power supply to the 1 position, plugged it in to several different outlets, and tried shorting the power button instead of pressing it on the outside of the case. Could it be the motherboard shorting? What can I do to stop this?

Thank you!

most common issue is that one of the stands for mainboard is slightly out of place and shorts out the mainboard preventing power-up.

make sure that ALL the stands are in correct places, helps if the amount of screws you use matches the amount of stands.
(at least the one next to ram slots seems to lack a screw)

I just realized that one of the standoffs doesn't go all the way through like the others. I can fit my finger nail under it, whereas the other ones have no space between them. Could this be causing the problem?

it is possible, yes.

The board should have 9 holes for the standoffs
so all 9 should be in their correct places and you should use 9 screws for said 9 standoffs.

It is also wild guess but sometimes, the MB backplate spring like metal bits can cause shorts near the connectors. I myself always suspect the standoffs first.

I'm having trouble finding one of the standoffs. You'd think a high quality case would include at least one extra /: but nope.
