Hi there! Recently, I’ve had to restart my pc many times in order to get it to actually post, sometimes to no avail.

What usually happens is:
  • I turn it on, all my fans spin, I can hear my hard drive powering up.
  • The HD Activity LED doesn’t light up, and the computer doesn’t post. My monitor just shows that there’s no signal.
  • I restart it many times until it finally posts, then it runs without any problems at all.

I’ve noticed that if I leave it in it’s no post state (with fans running and all), the HD activity LED starts blinking and my monitor gets a signal. It’s still a black screen but you can tell the monitor’s active and all my peripherals light up. If I press any key on my keyboard, it goes back to its no post state.

Recently it has gotten to the point where no amount of restarts can get it to post.

My Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (9 months old)
Mobo: Gigabyte B450M-DS3H Rev 1.0, Compatible with 3rd Gen Ryzezn CPU's (9 months old)
RAM: 8GB (1x8GB) G-Skill Sniper DDR4 3200 (9 months old)
GPU: Zotac GTX 1060 Mini 3GDDR5 (2 years)
SSD: Samsung 960 EVO 500GB (2 years)
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB (2 years)
PSU: Cooler Master V650 SM 80 + Gold (2 years)

Troubleshooting Steps Taken
  • Tried a different monitor along with different inputs (DVI, HDMI, Display Port), same no post state.
  • Booting without SSD/HDD/without both at all, same no post state, not even any BIOS/Insert Boot Media message.
  • Trying every different DIMM slot.
  • Clearing CMOS.
  • Reseating every cable.

Let me know if any more information is needed, this is my first time encountering something like this.
