My PC does not receive input audio from a microphone.

There are three audio inputs in my Acer TC-605 - none of them shows any activity at the audio settings when a mic is plugged in. I have all my audio drivers (Realtek) up to date. Each possible audio settings tab has been checked, with no success. Tried plugging my headset into my dad's PC and everything worked normally; the issue should not be in my headset.

Any ideas? I'm tired of not being able to use Discord.

Solution
Go to Sound settings and check "Listen to this Device" if you can hear yourself then, Try this : Windows Settings(Start+I) ---> Privacy ---> Microphone ---> Check "Let apps use my microphone" and turn on microphone for the apps you want to use your mic.
