Question pc not recognizing boot drive.whenever i tried to remove cable for one of the drive,then only it recognizing windows drive

i have ssd and hard drive.when i updated my firmware then it is not recognizing boot drive.when i removed my cable for harddrive, then only it is recognizing ssd and booting .Can anyone tell what's the problem?
