Pc not starting

i have a gigabyte B75-D3H motherboard i installed every thing (power cable ram hdd processor...etc) and when i hit the power switch it light up for 1 sec and nothing happens
ps: the cpu fan and the power supply fan runs for 5 sec when i press the power switch

pull out the gpu and one stick of ram see if it posts. if there still no post make sure the mb sitting on top of the standoffs and are not shorted out. also check that the io shield on back of the case is not shorting the mb out. if it still wont start pull the mb see if it will start out of the case on top of the mb box. if it wont there try another power supply to rule out a bad unit.
