Pc not staying connected after GPU upgrade

So back in 2016 I Made the terrible mistake to buy a prebuilt system with a 500 dollar budget. I managed to snag a system with a FX 4300 processor, 2x4 GB Ddr3 ram on a GA-78LMT-S2 motherboard, powered buy a 350 watt sparkle psu. I was lacking performance in gaming so I recently purchased a GTX 1050 SC 3gb, which has a low 75 watt psu usage, everywhere I look it seems fine. When I installed the gpu after taking out my old R7 240, I installed the drivers just to have my computer die right after. It restarted and my monitor went blank. I unplugged everything and it worked for around 2 minutes on the desktop but it shut off automatically again. I wonder if it is a psu failure or, if my luck fails me, a cpu failure? Everything was fine before installing my new cpu. Also my mouse died half way through too, having the lights on it flicker.
Thank you.
