pc not switching on after motherboard power unit changed

I added a 780watt G7 Power extreme power supply to http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141079593087?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 this pc.Ive connected it up and the wires were caught on the fan initially. I cleared the obstruction and now the pc wont turn on at all. Im concerned that ive permanently fried the pc. Is there any way to destroy a pc by doing what ive done here?

Make sure the secondary connector is in right, sometimes it seems like its fit right but its not

Test psu with paperclip the ones without paint.

Ok to elaborate, the led's switch on and the fan starts but it immediately dies. I kept telling myself to photograph the initial setup before tampering but5 in my haste I ignored the "Inner promptings"

Did you test the psu? From the psu test, you can know if it is faulty or not.

Thankyou all for the responses, I managed to fix the issue by removing the psu unit and taking stock
