So I’ve recently purchased Asus Prime B450M-A alongside my new Ryzen 5 3600 cpu. I’ve connected everything and mounted it in my PC but now the PC won’t turn on when I press the button. At first I thought maybe there was a problem with power switch connector but I double checked that and it looks fine now I can’t figure what the problem is.

My guess is eatx 8-pin connector since I only got 6-pin connector coming out of the PSU but my old config worked fine while having only 6-pin connector plugged in the 8-pin.

Any help would be awesome.

There is no 6-pin connector for the CPU. There are 4, or 2x4 (8) pins connectors. The 6-pin is a PCI express connector to bu used with a GPU

Yeah how did I miss that hah I’m still new at this. I managed to get it to turn on now but I have another problem now. My monitor is not showing a picture but my gpu fans turn on when I turn on the PC. But the lights from gpu don’t turn on though. The gpu looks a little loose in it’s slot but I can’t push it any more down.

Alright so I managed to get it to turn on properly, but now I get faced with a: “Usb over current status detected.” message and I don’t know what could cause this. I unplugged all the USB devices from the PC as soon as I got the message left the PC for 20 minutes and tried again but nothing same message.

I managed to solve all of the problems, first there was a problem with RAM looks like I haven't plugged it in correctly, then I had usb device over current message and I solved that by unplugging the front usb connector from the motherboard, now it all works fine. Thanks to everyone for their help.
