Pc not turning on after upgrading ram

Recently bought a new ram stick and put it in the slot.. It turned on once then told me to change the slot.. Did that but after that it wasn't detecting it so then I moved to another slot and now the machine won't turn onon.. And all the USB ports stopped working but if I connect my phone it shows charging.. Now I am really stumped and any advice would be great

Since you've chosen to post on the "Motherboards" forum, don't you think it would be a good idea to at least include the motherboard model? ---
