My pc just shut off while on youtube
My specs: asus rog strix 1070 ti
i7 kebylake 6700k 4.00 ghz
x2 8gb sticks of ram (forgot the frequency)
my gpu was overclocked at +90 core clock
+400 vram speed
my cpu wasn t
the clock was stable at 60 C
Processor activley air cooled and not overclocked . Also the power led on the gpu isn t lighting up
What broke? Is it the motherboard (asrock z170 pro4s) or the psu

6700k is Skylake, not Kaby lake. Kaby lake would be 7700k.

Is anything else lighting up? Motherboard? Fans spinning? CPU cooler spinning? GPU card fans spinning?

Have you tried resetting the system by turning the switch off on the back of the power supply, and then back on, and then attempting to power up?

What is the exact model number of your power supply?

Where did you buy the graphics card? Was it new or used? How long ago?

everything was new and i found out that it was a faulty extension cord at the middle of the cable it melted and shorted on earth the pc was fine (the cable was hidden.)

Might be a good idea to figure out WHY it did that, if the PC was the only thing connected to it. If it wasn't, that's a problem, because it SHOULD be.

In fact, whenever possible there should be nothing between the power supply and the outlet except it's own cable and/or a UPS system. If you MUST use an extension cord, use one with nothing else on it and do not use a cheap flimsy dollar store cable, use only a decent quality 14 gauge extension cord and do not ever plug the power supply into a power strip unless it is an extremely good quality model like those sold by Eaton, Trip-lite, Leviton or a very few other high end manufacturers of protective electronics.

Belkin, Monster, Amazon and other budget products are not only not protective, they can be harmful or create problems where none existed before.
