Pc not waking from sleep

So I have a custom built desktop that runs fine only issue is with sleep. I put my computer into sleep and my fans turn off which I guess is normal but I have my desktop plugged into this smart outlet witch makes a clicking noise when the pc is turned on and off.. It also makes this noise when put into sleep. So I guess it could be the smart surge protector but I'm not sure. Pc works fine when turning on and off

I had a similar problem on a desktop i built for a friend.
The problem was the wireless card.
If you have a wireless card, go to Device manager, expand network adapters and right click your wireless card Properties. In the power management tab uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device"

I could not see motherboard make & model or windows version

I would check the motherboard chip set drivers have been loaded / installed
I would look at uefi or bios setting for sleep mode
S3 or s5 i believe higher number means deaper sleep

Finally if that fails to work
Disable sleep and use hybernation instead
If win 8 / 8.1 / 10. There are some new sleep options which may need to be changed

Turning off let windows put to sleep for network or wireless is usually used if the device does not work after pc wakes up

So I guess that some of my chipset wasn't installed lol... And waking up from sleep was disabled in the bios but now that everything works my computer is supplying power to USB ports even when off... Is there anyway I can disable this ?pls

ok ....so i have basically gotten no where in regards to fixes sleep the bios in condusing. for msi i went into wake up event setting in the bios and there was a option for wake from bios or os ... i dont know what that does so i dont want to mess with it....there were also some other things like wake wth usb device i turned tath on and there was some wierd power settings....im not really sure how to do this pls halp.........
