Hi, I'm making a post for my friend who built his pc Yesterday (Sunday 20/01/19) I helped him build it along with some other friends and we got it working with no hitches, downloaded the necessary software, played some games, left. But today he came online on his phone saying that his PC had completely shut down and when he presses the power button only the case fans, CPU cooler fans turn on for a second then turn off with no visual response. There is no response from the GPU, however, I should mention that the GPU didn't respond yesterday until Windows had booted up - I'm not experienced enough to tell if this is normal or if it could be the main problem. The monitor doesn't get any signal from the GPU either, but my friend is saying that "the time that the fans are on doesn't seem enough for the full system to boot" which may seem true, but not sure. If you need any more info, I'm more than happy to supply. Thanks in advance. Here are the specs: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/TNP8kd

How did you install windows with no visuals from the gpu?

Would try to rebuild it,first take all out of the case and try breadboarding. Just the motherboard on something like the box the motherboard came in with just one stick of ram (slot A2=second from the cpu out) and of course the cpu and gpu,see if you can get into the bios. If so update to the last version.
Look at the bioschip on the motherboard this has most likely a small sticker on it which tells what bios the board was delivered with,if older then version 3.40 make sure you update to version 3.40 first.
