I just built my first gaming pc and the hardware follows
Cpu- i5-6500
Mobo- Asus z170 pro gaming
Cpu Cooler- Cyrorig h7
Memory- Kingston hyperx fury 2x4gb
Gpu- MSI gtx 1060
Wifi card- Asus n15
Psu- Senteny 750 watts semi modular
Case- Corsair Spec-Alpha
Hdd- Hatachi 2 tb
Ssd- A-data 480gb

After building the motherboard with its LEDs light up even if I don't hit the power button. When I do hit the power button the mobo continues to light up but all of the fans (cpu and gpu included) don't run. I connected it to my monitor but it says no vga cable connected even though it is. I know my power supply and mobo work for sure. Could it be my cpu or ram? Thanks in advance :)

Solution
If you have re-checked the setup, and things are plugged in properly, maybe a bad power supply. Try different RAM also or one RAM stick at a time, test with just one hard-drive at a time, or no hard drive and just use a boot disk to see if that comes up.
The power supply is questionable quality, I wold not use that in a gaming system.

Go over the build, make sure the CPU and other parts are in properly, remove the add-on video card and test system with onboard video only. If that works, put the card back, see if that works (remember to move monitor connections to the video card). If it does not work, try with a different power supply. This would be good to keep your 750 watt power and a decent price http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438028

I can't really check my cpu since I don't have an extra computer. Yesterday I went to bestbuy to check if the power supply was the problem but it wasn't. What do you think is the problem?

What did BestBuy do to check the power supply? Did they try the system with a different power supply?

I don't mean test your CPU in another system, just make sure it's plugged in properly. Did you try the system without the nVidia card?

Well I did redo my connections and re-seat my CPU and the problem still persists. I took out the video card and still my system won't post and all of the fans won't turn. Any advice on what I should do now?
