PC nothing happens

hello everybody,

i've finished my own build PC today but when I press the on/off button nothing happens. No beeps and none of the vans are spinning. Can someone please help me. Don't know what to do??

did you use standoffs between the mobo and the mobo tray

bear in mind that not all mobo's have switches like that

No, I didn't used that.

well the mobo needs to be separated from the tray by spacers/standoffs otherwise the mobo is contact with the metal of the tray and will be shorting out.

I've done it but still nothing is happening.

have you connected correctly the case button to the System panel connector?

in the manual you can read the correct wait

if i'm not mistaken the power button goes

on your motherboard.

you can read that in the manual at 1-25 page. (page 35 in pdf)

I've done it exactly the same as in the manual. But it's still not working. Any other suggestions??

that was very quick, I've known people kill motherboards by not using standoffs.

Doesn't work either. I don't know what's wrong with my pc nothing works. 🙁

yeah, a 8-pin cable but I can't find where you have to put it in.

8 pin can be video card.

the motherboard needs basically the 24 pin connected, and the cpu need the the ATX 4 pin.

the 24 pin and the ATX 4 pin are already connected and my video card needs a 6 pin and is already connected.

isn't there anything else what could be wrong?? because it's weird that there is nothin happening at all.

yes normally video cards use 6pin but some need 8 pin connectors, maybe that is the 8 pin cable you do'nt know what for.

well if you did all that, it may be a defective motherboard or psu...

the motherboard is not broken because the green light on the motherboard is turning on when i turn on the PSU

well than the psu is not broken... the motherboard can still have a damaged component, but if the light is on, make sure the system panel connectors are Right it really looks like they are wrong.

if you are sure they are ok just like the manual, i would say mobo problem.
