This has been going on for a few days now. One day PC simply didn't boot and after trying a few things I eventually switched out my extension cord and it worked perfectly for the rest of the day. Next day I plugged it directly into the wall and that worked. Today it booted after I switched to yet another wall outlet, I am however back on wall outlet 1 as of writing this.

Obvious answer is that my power supply is faulty somehow (it's pretty old), however it's weird that my PC runs perfectly throughout the day otherwise. Could it be the case itself or sumn?

Perhaps the issue lies with the electrical wiring in your house? It might be worth having an electrician check it out.
How old is pretty old? What is the make and model of your power supply?

I doubt it's an electrical issue since all other devices work perfectly, even things plugged into the same extension cord (monitors etc.).
I've got a Corsair VS 650.
