I recently attempted to upgrade my system, which required a BIOS update. Post-update, I was unable to boot and consistently received the message "Please select a bootable device". I noticed that by manually selecting the Windows Boot Manager in the Boot Menu, Windows would boot normally. Eventually, I discovered that setting the boot mode exclusively to UEFI allowed for normal booting. However, I'm still encountering an issue: after rebooting, the system boots into the BIOS and fails to display any hard drives or the Windows Boot Manager in the Boot Menu/Boot Order. Essentially, the system only launches Windows on a fresh boot. If I restart the system, either through Windows or from the BIOS, it boots into the BIOS without showing any hard drives.
What could be causing this behavior? I've also tried disabling fast boot, but it had no effect.
