PC only Boots with one Ram Stick.

I have an MSI 970 Gaming Mono with an FX 6300. I bought the AMD 8GB entertainment series memory. When both sticks are in the dual channel slots the PC turns on but nothing occurs on screen? I remove one stick and move the other stick into the 2nd slot and it works. But that's the only a slot and ram stick that boots up normal. The other stick doesn't work in any of the slotsby itself. I'm not sure if its a mobo problem or a memory problem. Can anyone help me solve this problem?

The stick doesn't work in the 2nd slot where the other one works? If not sounds like a bad stick, might try the stick in a different system, but sounds like a bad stick. I'd RMA
