Pc only reads half my installed RAM

Hi There
I've installed 8gbs of RAM on my computer. Two sticks of Corsair XMS3 2X2GB Ram. Cpuz only detects half the ram per slot and memtest comes back saying Pair 95041593 does not store values accurately.
The rest of my specs are as follows:
Intel Mobo DH55PJ
Intel Core i5 650
ATI Radeon Hd 5750 graphics
I've tried reseating the ram, different combos and even tried putting them in a different machine which still wont read 8GB.
Please help.

Did you install the 64 bit version of your os?

Wait 2 sticks from a 2x2GB kit or 2 kits with a total of 4 sticks? And as bjsm said if you installed 32-bit OS you can only use 4GB

Sorry I forgot to mention that I am running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and as far as i know it was one kit with 2 sticks, each 2X2gbs

Two sticks are installed, each one says 4GB (2X2GB). So that should be 4gbs per slot, but only 2gbs are being read per slot.

Think about it, how can you have 4gb per slot if your using 2 gb sticks? 2gb sticks = 2gb per slot. Maybe im confused by your post lol

Wow, ok, sorry for the trouble. I honestly did not know that. Do i need to worry about the whole "memtest- pair 95041593 does not store values accurately" tho?

If you are really worried about it try running memtest with only 1 stick at a time so u know wich one is faulty. Other than that if you dont have any issues you should be fine but you can still rma the ram. Read the article i linked its gonna be helpful
