[SOLVED] PC only works properly with 8gb, crashes games when I use 16

Never had a problem with my PC until I upgraded to 16GB DDR4 (2x8gb), games always crash and the browser would go black for about 2 seconds at random intervals .
I ran the Windows Memory Diagnostic and everything was fine, switched the slots, did a clean reinstall of windows, ran diagnostics with each RAM stick separately, tested them separately if they work, and they did...
Never overclocked them, both were bought new, did a CMOS reset on the motherboard, but I never had a chance to try them on a different Motherboard because of a city lockdown.

PC Specs:
Gigabyte AB350 Gaming 3
Ryzen 3 1200
Nvidia GTX 1070 from Gigabyte
2x HyperX Predator, 8GB DDR4, 3000Mhz, CL15, 1.35v

PC still works perfectly with only 8GB, and both RAM sticks work separately

Thank you!
May I have a suggestion?
What should I do? Buy another pair?
As was said above....you can try different configurations...but you said you "switched slots" so I thought you already did that.

A matched pair gives you the best chance for them to work together.

Although....there is almost for sure single 8 gig stick out there in the world that would work with either of yours...but the problem is....you don't know which.

I still think that the motherboard is the issue

Are you setting XMP for the modules or are you manually setting the timings? Have you change any timings at all?

With both modules installed in slots DDR4_2/DDR4_1 and set to their rated spec with XMP, download and run CPU-Z in Windows to get the current ram timings from the Memory tab, then post the results here as a screenshot from an image host or type it out.

{CPU Socket} |4||2|3|1|

Edit - I should mention that I don't think your motherboard is the problem and that you can likely get both modules working with just some memory timing tweaks.

Solution
Please load the BIOS optimal defaults.
It will turn down the XMP, so your memory DIMMs will run at JEDEC approved speeds (2133, or 2400) @1.2V instead of 1.35V.

It will be a bit slower, but there’s a good chance for them to work together.

Also, make sure you insert them in slots: #2, #4 (channels: A2, B2).
