The adaptor for the power cable or outlet sparked when I plugged the PC's power cable in, now when I turn it on, the monitor says no dvi signal then turn off and the computer fan spins really fast. The computer would beep, it beeped more than usual.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Solution
try clearing CMOS, remove the battery on the motherboard for a few minutes and then return. try booting up. if that doesn't work you have an issue somewhere obviously. I'd start at the PSU, you will have to isolate the issue to figure out where it is coming from

What happened specifically? Did you see sparks, or did you hear electrical noises i.e. arcing (crackling/snapping/buzzing)? Or both?

Was the switch on the back of the PC power supply on or off when this happened?

If you aren't using a surge protector and plugging directly into the wall outlet, do you know if your home has grounding or other electrical related issues before?
