So few weeks ago i made a post here saying that my PC had freezing and bluescreens issue and everyone told me that it could be the issue with the PSU so i replaced it and now I'm still getting BSODS and freezing .Today when it froze i got some kind of red artifact at the corner of my monitor, My GPU is only like 8 months old could this be the motherboard?

My specs

Colourful GT1030

There is hardly ever a reason not to get at least a 750 watt psu as they are cheap enough and if the extra power is not needed the unit will run cooler and last longer
The original poster has an Nvidia GT1030 and a Q6600, which are not particularly power hungry. The total system might draw 150-200w under full load to be honest. A quality 450w PSU is perfectly adequate for their system and is not going to be under much stress at all. Considering both units linked are 80+ bronze and are going to be running at about 50% of max capacity, heat is not going to be an issue.

The OP seems to be on a budget, and a quality 750w would be double the cost of something like the CV450 or MWE Bronze V2 450w. While a 750w would have its...

Again if there is a power supply problem upgrading to the same watt unit even if a better one is just silly. As I said the larger psu will ALWAYS run cooler and last longer and can even be swapped into a new machine at some future point. See I think in forward gear, this saves money and problems

Suppose he wants to upgrade the card next but can't because he does not have enough power

Because at today's prices a good 750w PSU costs a LARGE amount of money more than a 450w PSU. And on top of that while I agree the PSU he got was junk, "overheating" was not the problem. This thread yet again is another example of replies without proper knowledge or information. Again move along.
