Hello,

I'm having some issues with my computer. I built it several years ago, added some new parts last year, and it's run just fine until now. Here's what happened:

I left my PC on sleep overnight. I woke up this morning, turned it on this morning, and the peripherals weren't working. My login screen was showing up on the monitor, though.

I rebooted, and now I'm getting no signal on my monitor and my mouse/keyboard aren't working. My mouse does get a LED light up on the bottom, but not the usual full-lights (It's an MLG gaming mouse).

Here's what I've tried:

  • Check monitor with another system. Monitor works.
  • Replace HDMI cable.
  • Take out video card and plug the HDMI cable directly into the motherboard.
  • Take out both ram sticks.
  • Alternate between both RAM sticks.
  • Take out CD-rom.
  • Take out SSD.
  • Check for bent pins.
At no point am I getting a beep, though I don't remember 100% whether I get one normally. I think so.

Here's my rig:

Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370-A
Processor: Intel i7 8700k
Cooler: Cryiorig H5.
Videocard: MSI GTX 1070
RAM: Patriot Viper Elite DDR4 16GB (x2)
Harddrive: Seagate Barracuda 3TB
Powersupply: Corsair HX 750.

I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to do next. Am I dealing with a motherboard issue?

Thanks.

Since my post, I've noticed that the DRAM light on my motherboard has an orange/amber glow, and that it blinks when I press the MemOK button. Would that point to a RAM issue? Would a RAM issue prevent the BIOS from starting and the mouse/keyboard from working?
