I recently built a pc (on pc part picker), and there was a issue that read-
"The motherboard M.2 slot #0 shares bandwidth with a SATA 6.0 Gb/s port. When the M.2 slot is populated, one SATA 6Gb/s port is disabled."
So if I use the m.2 slot then only one of the SATA ports would be disabled, Id still be able to use both a m.2 slot and a SATA port if i plug the SSD into the slot that isn't disabled, right?

Solution
There are 2 M.2 slots on the motherboard.
When the M.2_1 is operating in SATA mode, SATA port 1 will be disabled.
When the M.2_2 is operating in PCIEX4 mode, SATA port 5. 6 will be disabled.

You can read all the info in motherboard user manual.

So in summary - up to 3 sata ports can be disabled depending on your M.2 configuration.
Anyway - at least 3 other sata ports are always available, because there are 6 sata ports in total.
