I'm looking at a budget $1000 - $1100 (£950) which I have included a Ryzen 1700 (Extra cores good for streaming) and a GTX 1060 along with 16 GB DDR4 RAM. I'm just wondering if anyone had any better recommendations for this build and this budget?

Solution
while 4 core is fine, its 2 core per CCX, so with data migration while doing multitasking, u will incur significant latency. meanwhile 3 core per ccx is like the sweetspot here with the 1600. 1700 is better but is kinda overkill for the requirement.

With the remaining cash, get the AMD Vega next month. The price of both 1060/1070 and rx580 is stupendous.

I would advice you to stream in a 75hz 2k monitor or 1080p 75hz. Avoid 144hz for streaming as of now. Also go for freesync monitor.

I don't want to be at the bare minimum for my games or streams that's why I habe a mid range budget.

Instead of going with a Six core, go with the 4 core 1500X . Will handle streaming fine and will save you money
