I have a lenovo h330 series desktop.I have decided to install a new 4 gb ram in it.The desktop came preinstalled with 4 gb ram and it have 2 slots one of which is not used. However i am buying a 4 gb ram of another brand and want to install it beside my old 4 gb ram in my motherboard. Will the two ram be compatible to each other ? Is there any specification of motherboard which i should check before purchasing a new ram ? The main purpose of my pc is gaming.
PLEASE HELP

You can usually go to the memory manufacturers website and determine which of their products are compatible with your system.

For example the Corsair memory finder lists XMS3 — 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1333MHz C9 Memory Kit (CMX8GX3M2A1333C9) and XMS3 — 4GB (1x4GB) DDR3 1333MHz C9 Memory Kit (CMX4GX3M1A1333C9) as compatible with your system.
