Is a there a process for PC POST?

With just the pc power plugged into mobo the cpu plugged in ram and cpu cooler plugged in try posting...

So is your pc not posting? Do you maybe mean BSOD? what exactly is the issue you are having?

P.O.S.T. means "Power On Self Test" is diagnostic testing BIOS goes thru while computer is starting. Only once it goes thru it will let you see what it found in good order and/or display anything that is not by suitable message on the screen/display and/or beeps in certain cadence or a display (Digital or LEDs) on the MB.
