So i just finished building my 2nd pc in life. Connected it with DP 1.4a to AW2523HF and got no display at all. There is also a red light on top right of the motherboard. RGB of every component works. The first things that catched my eye was both of RAMS not clicking even tho i used a bit force to do it. Then at the end GPU Pcie 16x didn’t click too. In my opinion the cpu and gpu power cables are fine but i’m not sure. So far i’ve only tried turning it on/off and switching DP with HDMI

SPECS
9800x3d
5070ti msi gaming trio
X870E rev 1.1
Corsair Vengeance 6000 30 32
Corsair RM1000X
LFIII
H7 Flow RGB 2024

(Sorry for no photo but i have no idea on how to attach it, the red light is next to the LCD screen showing cpu temp i think)

The manual for your motherboard.

1, remove and reseat your gpu. Make sure that the power connectors to the gpu are properly connected.

2. Remove the cmos battery if you can, it’s on the bottom right of the board, close to is is the cmos reset header. With NO power connected and the battery out short circuit across the 2 pins.
Manual page 4

3 For completeness, check that the memory is properly installed, in slots A2 and. B2.
Manual page 15

4. Can you ensure that the CPU is correctly installed.

The debug display is indicating a fault when the super IO, peripherals are about to be detected.
The LED is suggesting VGA.

1st and 3rd step is done, still VGA red light. About to do 2nd. I don’t know when putting the gpu back on i don’t feel confidence, the pcie clip ,,tightens” back up but it’s like a slow motion and there is no sound. In every pc bulid video i watched it clicked. The 4th step might be difficult because the whole bulid is done now but i’ll try if nothing works. How can i ensure if its installed correctly? HDMI shows still not display, neither DP

Close look

Remove the cooler from the cpu, sorry…. Then unlatch the cpu clip, the lever you use to lock the cpu down. Lift the frame that holds the cpu. If the cpu is laying flat in the socket/holder all is good. Then clip it down again and refit the cooler unit.

Awesome, now put it back together. I’d like you to use the CPUs graphic output. To do this you will need a HDMI display, connected to the HDMI port, manual page 17, port D…. Then try powering it all up…

At this point you should have a SSD, processor, long power connector and the cpu power connector (on the top edge of the motherboard) as internal connections. A HDMI connector on the connection panel, a keyboard and a mouse.

Try powering on.

Can i just unplug the GPU and put the HDMI to motherboard and see if it works?

I always build a PC with the minimum parts needed to see the thing boot, then add in everything else.. so motherboard, ram, processor, one disk. Until this cycle I always needed a gpu too.

Once it’s booted I add in the extras, extra storage, gpu etc.

Sorry I couldn’t be more help. I would be taking parts back to be replaced.

Good luck.

Really weird think happened. I got it to work with connecting HDMI to motherboard, while the gpu is still seated in. I’m not sure why it works but connecting display port directly to the gpu doesn’t work but i’ll try to change it after a bios update tomorrow. I’m not sure if i’m using only the integrated graphics or gpu too now. Anyway it’s only 240hz cuz it’s the highest HDMI can get

So i’ve made a thread before when i had no display at all. Now i managed to get display from the pc, but using HDMI 2.0 connected to motherboard. Not the gpu. Whenever i try to connect either DP or HDMI to gpu i just get no signal and VGA diode lights red, also before i found out that motherboard works there was also 99 debug code when trying to use gpu, haven’t tested yet if it’s gone by now if i try so . I’m not sure but i think there’s no diode when using HDMI-MOBO connection. I want to change to DP because it’s 360hz not 250hz like HDMI 2.0, and correct me if i’m wrong but i think in using cpu integrated graphics not the gpu itself when connected monitor to mobo by HDMI. Let me know if you have any ideas on how i can use 360hz with GPU. Maybe some bios updates because i haven’t done one yet or new drivers?

9800x3d
5070ti
X870E Aorus Elite
Vengeance 6000 30 32

And monitor: AW2523HF

I tested a few times if the gpu is fully seated and it click on the PCIE x16 bus and for me it does. The gpu power seems to work fine too

Drivers are for the OS (Windows). If you don't have any display, it's not a driver issue. Also, a X870 motherboard should be able to run a 5070 Ti without the need of a BIOS update, but it cost nothing to try. Since you have a display with the integrated graphics it should be a piece of cake to flash it.

If you get a display when connected to the motherboard (yes, it's the CPU integrated graphics and has nothing to do with your GPU) but nothing from the GPU, it might be a power issue with the GPU. Are you 100% sure the cables are well plugged in? Are you using the 12VHPWR to 3x8-pin adapter that came with the card? If you do, make sure you are using different cables to connect to the adapter, not connectors on the same cable. Does the RGB on the card light up?

By the way, it's quite bad to ask for a particular forum member when someone else is trying to help you out. And Lutfij is wrong time to time, like anybody else.

I’m using the 12VHPWR connected straight to my gpu because my PSU came with it. RGB lights up
