So I'll try be as informative and quick as possible,

I woke up to no signal, viva my VGA cable. So I figured the GPU died on me (Several year old HD 5450). However, I can't use my on-board graphics because my port died on me a few years ago.

I decided to test the GPU with another monitor and cable, no luck. So I removed the GPU and just tried to power on, from this point my PC would power on and off rapidly, within a 5 second time period.

I decided to change the RAM, no luck.
I unplugged unessential components, DVD drive, USB etc
I also tested my power supply, everything seems to be running fine.

I'm out of ideas, did my GPU simply die and take my mobo with it?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Solution
The first thing I suspect when a system mysteriously starts rebooting, shutting down or boot-looping for no apparent reason is the PSU. What are its the brand, model and age?

I used a proper PSU tester I bought awhile back.

It is a old PSU, I'm planning on buying a new one this week. However I found out what caused it, which was the CMOS battery died and my BIOS got reset so I'm guessing the configuration caused some form of fault? Either way it's been functioning without issue for a couple days now.

Thanks for the input guys.
