Hi good day,

I’m currently rebuilding my old computer I built in 2013 because the PSU failed on me, so I’m checking to see what parts are still working and this is what I have realized.

The parts I am testing are:
CPU: Intel i7-3770k
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77P-D3
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LP 8GB (2x4GB) 1600MHz CL9
GFX Card: AMD Radeon HD 6450 (just for display)
HDD: 1TB Seagate Barracuda
PSU: Generic 600w PSU

With these parts the PC would power on and all the fans would spin for a few seconds and then power off in a loop, so I swapped another generic 750w PSU and the same issue.

I decided to test the RAM one by one same issue.

I then decided to change the RAM to these Patriot 2GB 1333MHz (PSD32G13332) sticks I had. The PC booted perfectly.

So now I’m trying to confirm if the Corsair sticks are dead or if by any chance the PSU is not supporting it.

I also tried to enable the XMP profiles in the BIOS but they are greyed out with the Patriot RAM installed.

I also have a Seasonic FOCUS Plus 650 Gold on it's way, so i'll wait and see if this makes a difference.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
