Forgive me, this is my first time building a PC, I have the following;
My computer starts up when I turn the power on, but monitor won't pick up or recognize the signal through VGA connection with the gpu, so I thought the cord is dead, so I connected it to the mobo, just in case, and it didn't work either, but both the mobo and the gpu had ano hdmi slot, so I tried those, no good, then I removed the gpu, and tried without it, no good either... but before that, I accidently used too much thermal paste onto the cpu, again forgive me, this was my first build... so the paste spread out to the cpu slot, I knew that was bad news(power wasn't on for this, thank god.), so I immediately took off the cpu and the fan, I cleaned it with ArticClean, a thermal material remover, after that, I noticed dust or something, so I picked them out, and some needles or pins on the cpu slot were slightly bent, so I don't know if that's a problem, when it came it looked fine (I bought accidental damage warranty for this mobo).
I've tried to use one RAM card, no gpu, just the bare essentials to try to get the monitor to recognize the mobo, but so far, no luck, and I'm really hoping it's not the cpu, because I am retarded for not buying the warranty... but if you guys can identify the problem as I described, that would be greatly appreciated.
On a side note, I read about the motherboard speaker to identify the problem, but mine didn't come with one, and the case doesn't have one either, I didn't think it would be important since I'm deaf, but I bought one recently and is on its way, and I will bring a relative over to figure out the problem, again, if you can figure out what it is before the speaker arrives, that's amazing, and I'll be very grateful.
Intel Core i7-6700K
