Dear Experts,
I have a series of problems that started about 2 weeks ago, when my old power supply died. I have replaced it (with another cheap one that i found in a Sunday afternoon), and since the replacement I have a series of problems with my PC.
#1. HDD failure. This happened today, without any warning. While starting my computer, the HDD is being detected by BIOS, and I can hear it spinning up, but the PC is getting stuck every time on Verifying DMI Pool Data (just after memory check). I have tried to see if it would start windows from an USB, and it does. So far the HDD has been making a ticking sound (like the old HDD's) while working (especially under heavy load like downloads or gaming) but now, I can hear it spin up, and i can feel that something is working inside it with my hands but that ticking sound from when it used to work properly is gone. I have tried it with another PC and it won't work in that either. So it is definitely a HDD issue. I would really like to recover my data from the HDD, but don't have any money to ask for an expert so I hope you guys could help me out.
#2. My PC sometimes won't turn on. It spins the cooler fans for like a second then I can press the Power button any time I want, it won't start. If I remove the power supply connector from motherboard and plug it back it will start. (I can live with this problem for now but it is a little annoying)
