Hi,
My brother's desktop has been shutting down randomly while working since a couple of months. What could be the reason?
The specs are- Core i3 2125, 6 gb RAM,GTX 750,Antec 450 watts PSU,Win 10 Pro X64.

Solution
Random shutdowns are often caused by overheating - - shutdown protects the vital components from permanent damage.

The PC case interior & components could be ready for a good dose of compressed air to remove build-up of dust, especially around any fans & heatsinks. Use one of those cans of compressed air designed for that purpose.

Whilst your inside the case, power-up the system and check that all the cooling fans are actually working, but don't have the system running when you clear the dust out of it.

Make sure all the air intake/exhaust vents on the case are clear too.

Hello thanks but if you had a chance to check the link I included this apparently has been an on going problem with the 1538, i'm sure dell is aware of the the problem but doesn't want to recall of fix possibly thousands of computers. Like right now I'm noticing the temp is 83c and i'm just web surfing doesnt that seem like something wrong could it be the bios I know someone said they upgraded the bios and that seemed to resolve the problem. Think the bios could possibly be causing this. Worst computer I ever had nice to look at and great features but poor design. Thanks

Tom
