Question PC randomly becomes totally unresponsive ?

Hello all.

So my problem started at the beginning of the week (only done it twice so far) moday & today (sunday) it just randomly deadlocked, completely unresponsive.

Both times while playing games. First time playing God Of War & the second time while on the main menu for Among Us (I don't think its the games)

PC Specs
Motherboard - ROG Strix X570-F Gaming
CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
GPU - AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT (12GB)
PSU - Corsair RM750 X

I have herd that it could be that the thermal paste could need changing or the HDD is on the blink.
Any help would be much appreciated.

how full is the ssd?
check cpu/gpu temp and usage during the game?
malware scan the system?

i have 15gb/221gb space available on the C drive that has windows installed & 20gb/1tb on my spare D drive.
Temps seem fine whilst playing games
will do a scan.

I built this PC at the beginning of 2020 but the HDD did come from my PC before
