Question PC randomly black screen, only not when gaming?

Hi. I have this problem, when i leave my pc idling or just broswe anything, it rarely gives me a black screen, but never got it while gaming. Like today, i left it and went to kitchen, then i got there and fans were stopping and then maxing and it had black screen, but monitor was still on. When i touched the GPU it was very, very hot, but it doesn't have overheating problems normally.
My specs: Ashs H61m-e
I5-3570 3.6ghz
12GB ram 1600mhz 4+8
R9 290x reference 4gb
PSU Coolmaster GX 550w 80+ bronze
Can anyone help me?

I have latest drivers possible, haven't tried old ones yet. My motherboard bios is up to date, but idk about the GPU.

Yeah that's weird, but the problem seems very similar. Mine does that while idling as well, which is even more weird.
